We had such a wonderful time celebrating Ellie's first birthday. Both our families were able to come up for the festivities as well as many of ours and Ellie's friends. It's hard to believe this 1st year is all ready over. Here are some pictures of the party.
My mom and I made the ribbon topiaries for table decoration.
My mom crotched the adorable owl hats as party favors for the kiddos. They were a big hit and will help keep the babies warm during our New York winter.
On the entry table I had guest book for everyone to sign and the messages that family and friends wrote were so sweet. I also attached a picture inside from the party. So now on for every birthday party we will use it for her guests to sign. I think it will be a great momento to have and something special Ellie can look back on she is older.
Ellie and her friends had a lot of fun and they all play so well together. The age range of the ones that could attend was 8 months to 15 months. We setup our downstairs family room as the play area for the kiddos! One activity I had for the kiddos was an Owl String Pinata. The babies pull the strings and one string opens the trap door to release the goodies. The pinata was filled with finger puppets and bath squirts.
Though quite challenging we were able to get a group of picture of the mamas and babies. My mom held Aubrey (one of the twins for RaeAnn) for the pictures.
