Cece's Visit

My mom came in town for a visit while Pat was gone to Germany for a week visiting his brother.  We had a great time!!!  We all celebrated the 4th of July together before Pat headed to Germany and Switzerland to enjoy some fun adventures with Matt. 
As usual my mom helped me with lots of projects around the house, enjoyed lots of bonding time with Ellie, did some shopping, helped prepare and freeze some meals for when Baby Erin comes, and the biggest thing was helping decorate the nursery.  Pictures to come soon!!

Ellie loves her Cece

Aren't her pigtails just precious?!?!  Cece put her hair in pigtails for the first time and to my surprise Ellie doesn't bother them.   I was just so thrilled to finally be able to do something with her hair!!! 

Playing outside on the play set. Ellie LOVES the slide!! She must hold someones hand because the slide is very steep and super fast. But she is not scared at all!

Ellie had some funny quotes during my mom's visit.  One day when we got back from the grocery store, Ellie was helping unload the groceries out of the bags.  She loves to help.

Cece said: "Ellie, look at you helping put away the groceries. 

You are such a good helper to your mommy"

Ellie said: "Thank you Cece.  Thank you so much!"

Ellie refers to her berries, as "strawbabies, raspbabies, blackbabies"

Blueberries are "beebees."

When Ellie eats, she now says "Yummy, Delicious!"  Cece taught her that one.

Cece also taught Ellie all about "sugar bugs".  She was a dental hygienist for many years.  Apparently my tooth brushing song wasn't creative enough and now Ellie loves brushing the sugar bugs.  She says  "sugar bugs, sugar bugs, go away!"

Ellie was extremely careful scooping out the dirt because she does not like a mess. 

She loved using her watering can to water the flowers.
 Let's hope Ellie gets Cece's green thumb because I certainly don't have one.

Ellie was very distracted while taking this picture.   She was very sad when Cece left.  My mom postponed her flight when Pat was having trouble getting home, which was so sweet!!  I really appreciated her staying an extra day with us :)  Ellie was happy too!
Cece will be back soon and next time she will bring GPa with her, when baby Erin Rose is born. 

We are looking forward to some more visitors we have coming in the next few weeks.  Nana Rose is coming to visit for a few days and my sister is coming for a long weekend visit too.
