18 Months

It's so hard to believe my baby girl is 18 months old and going to be a big sister soon!!!  Eleanor has grown up so much in these past 3 months.
  • Weight: roughly 23 lbs.  (according to home scale, but will know more tomorrow at her check up)
  • Wearing size 5 diapers.  Mostly 18 month clothes and still some 12 month.
  • She has 12 teeth and her top 2 canines are coming through now.

Ellie has such a sweet personality.  Very silly and talking ALL the time at home and often shy out in public or around big groups.  But no matter what she always greets everyone with a friendly hi or hey.  And of course lots of bye-byes.   She has such great little friends to play with and is a good sharer.
She is a little dare devil.  Loves to be tossed, flipped, spun around by her Daddy.  She really isn't afraid of much.  She's my little yoga baby.  I am pretty sure she is going to doing forward rolls soon.  I think I really need to find a gymnastics class for her.
Having a tea party with her favorite stuffed animals!
She has added lots of words to her vocabulary.  Help, Help Me, Highchair, Sit, Stay, Apple, Bed, Happy, Chair, Swing, Slide, Sorry, Thank You (tan too), Play, Home, Pear, Cheese, Plate, Cheers, Deer, and more.  She has been putting words together to make short phrases.
Ellie started saying all the family names.  Cece, GPa (she calls him G), Nana, Pop, Erin, Meg, and Matt.  She loves looking at pictures of family and pointing to everyone saying their name.
Reading an Elmer book (she LOVES Elmer) with GPa during his visit for Pat's change of Command.
This child LOVES the alphabet and her letters.  She knows the names for these letters and most of their sounds A,B,C,D,E,G,I,M,O,P,T, and Y.  Letters like F,H,R,W she cannot say their name correctly but will tell you what sound they make.  This makes a former Kindergarten teacher very happy!!  She has little books for each letter and reads them constantly.   At bath time the thing she enjoys playing with the most are her foam letters and numbers.
Wearing Daddy's Army Boots
Ellie has been trying to help sing certain songs like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, You Are My Sunshine, and the ABCs. We will sing them and she fills in words along the way.  It is so cute :)
She also likes finishing "This Little Piggie"  The way she says roast beef is the best!!
Reading "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" on the couch
We started our 4th swim class session. She loves going to swim class!! She graduated to wearing the little trainer "backpack" in the water.  She is still getting used to it.  She looks like a little turtle.
Swimming with her buddy Natalie
I can already tell that Ellie is going to be such a sweet big sister and will want to be my big helper.  She loves lifting up my shirt saying "Baby, Baby" kiss it then close it and "bye-bye" or "night-night".  We just got her some new books about being a big sister and welcoming a new baby.

Ellie is at such a fun age and I think it's only going to get better!!  These past 3 months have been SUPER busy.  We are looking forward to warm weather up here so that we can be outside playing!!!

Happy 18 Months Elle Belle!!  We love You :)
