7 Months!!!

7 months old already!! I can hardly believe how fast the time is going by. I am trying hard to soak up every moment with Ellie and remember all the details as she is growing up and changing. I love that sweet face :)

This morning photo shoot was quite a challenge because this little girl does not sit still. She is constantly moving, especially her little feet. ( Crocheted sweater made by her CeCe )

Ellie weighs between 16-17 lbs and is starting to wear size 3 diapers! She continues to go to bed between 7:30-8:00 and awakes up around 7:00am. I am grateful for my time in the evenings.

The biggest change this past month has been the introduction to solid foods. It took a good 2 weeks for Ellie to like her cereal. She also likes oatmeal. The veggies she's had include butternut squash, peas, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, and tried avocado once. We spent 3-4 days on each vegetable and so far no allergies to any of these new foods. While she isn't that fond of eating her solids, carrots and sweet potatoes seem to be the ones she liked the most. It takes a lot of patience and encouragement. Next up is zuchinni and going back to try the other veggies again. Later this month her first fruits will be apples and pears. Hopefully she will get excited about her food soon :)

Ellie is a moving machine. She is rolling everywhere, crawling backwards, and crawling around in circles all over the office. Baby proofing done! She is working on crawling forward and gets frustrated during the procress. She found Finn's dog bed this week and has been eyeing his toys. She loves getting my shoes and her new thing is taking apart the alphabet floor mats that she plays on and chewing on them. She is sitting up pretty well on her own but can't sit for too long. I think around 30 seconds in the longest she has sat up with no assistance.

Ellie not only moves a lot but she talks a lot too!! Making all kinds of noises, grunts, and letter sounds. At home she is quite the chatterbox but she continues to be a little shy in public.

No teeth yet but you can definitely feel the bottom 2 trying to poke through.

Ellie loves going on walks and falls asleep normally 5 minutes into the walk. Gotta love the BOB! She loves to be outside sitting on our deck, watching the trees blow, listening to the birds, and watching Finn run around the yard. This month we are going to try out the grass, the swing (we have a great swing set in our backyard), and her baby pool. We are just saving these things to share with someone special ;)

We are really looking forward to this next month. One very exciting thing happening in our family!!!!

Happy 7 Months Eleanor!! We Love you!!
